My name is Maria Vazquez Castro, a college professor, single mother of one, breast cancer survivor, born and raised in northern Spain, and most importantly, I am 53!

My known talent is teaching, but my passions are sharing my experiences and helping and advising people. I am a huge fan of fashion: clothes, shoes, accessories, you name it. I like it. I love to experiment with different styles. I am very interested in beauty and cosmetics. I am also a constant researcher on human psychology.

I firmly believe that things happen for a reason. My blog aims to be an inspiration for women in their 50’s, the decade I am currently living. With a small effort and strong determination, we can live our best lives as mature women. I know aging is a natural part of the life cycle, but I also know that we can slow down the aging process with knowledge. There are always things we can change in our lives for the better.
